Boston Chapter

Welcome to the Boston Chapter
ALA – Boston

The Boston Chapter of Access Life America was founded in 2020 by Hemangi Apte and a few of her close friends with a simple dream, to do something beyond everyday routines and give back to the community. What began as small efforts through Paint Nights and Awareness Walks has now grown into a dedicated team of 10+ volunteers who bring energy, creativity, and heart to every initiative.

Over the past five years, the Boston Chapter has not only raised awareness but also built a strong community of supporters. Each year, we proudly host our annual Gala in June, which has already seen two highly successful editions. Together, these events have raised crucial funds that directly support the treatment of underprivileged children battling cancer in India.

With seasonal volunteers joining hands during events and awareness drives, the Boston Chapter continues to thrive on compassion, teamwork, and a shared belief—that every child deserves a fighting chance at life.

Gold Ribbon Walk/Run

The Boston Chapter of Access Life America proudly hosted its annual Gold Ribbon Strides 5K walk/run 2021 event at Cape Cod Canal, Buzzards Bay (MA)

The energy and enthusiasm of the participants upon successful completion of 5K walk/run was amazing. Our proud supporters and volunteers made this event successful and empowering (as always).

Zakim Bridge Lighting in September

September, being an International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Boston Chapter of Access Life America organized for lighting of iconic bridges from Massachusetts to carry golden glitter (Gold being the color associated with Childhood Cancer Cause). It was a symbolic gesture as a part of an awareness campaign to shine some light on the dire challenges posed by this disease as well as to celebrate our bravehearts and their courage for battling cancer with smiling faces !
