Children undergoing treatment for cancer have low immunity and are more susceptible to secondary infections. Maintaining a clean environment where the family can keep good hygiene is extremely important to preventing post-treatment infections to recovering patients.
ALA’s Impact
In collaboration with Wadiya Hospital, ALA creates hygiene building “Clean and Care” kits that allow families to keep themselves and their home clean to ensure a safe recovery environment for their children. We then work with our partnered hospitals to identify high-risk families and distribute kits to them on a weekly basis.
We are extremely excited to report that we have been able to distribute 655 Clean and Care kits to families supporting children recovering from cancer around the Mumbai area.

- • Urine Pot: To prevent infection
- • Vaporizer: For congestion, headache, cough relief
